Job Summary
We are seeking an Experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. In this position, you will interpret blueprints and drawings to accurately machine Aluminum/Steel/Titanium/Kovar etc.. components and parts. These are all an integral part of our fabrication process. The ideal candidate will be a hard worker with great attention to detail and proven experience in the Aerospace Industry. The Job will also require you to be confident in bidding on new any new request for quotes that may come in. Also to assist us in the implementation of our E2 MRP system.
Responsibilities:
- First Article inspections per AS9100 Rev. D standards
- PPAP / PFEMA's when requested to on new orders
- Complete any Net-Inspect requirements that are needed for our customers
- Bid on repeat and new request for quotes. Our parts consist of anything from complex machined assemblies, to spin formed parts.
- Inspect finished & IPI products and cross reference them with the drawing requirements to determine if the process had been completed properly.
- Communicate with Production Manager and Ops Manager daily to keep track of all parts in Process.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents and drawings
- Able to use Calipers/Micrometers/Height Gauges and other Inspection equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and good mathematical skills a must.
- A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach also needed.
- Knowledge of E2 or similar ERP system.
- AS9100 Rev. D internal audit experience.
- Extensive knowledge of all manufacturing processes such as Metal spinning, CNC machining, manual mills & lathes, Outside processes such as Heat Treating, Chemical processing and various types of welding.
- Experience in quoting for new jobs, both old and new.
Compensation: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
